Applications are accepted at Register of Deeds. Opening times may vary by county . Both Bride and Groom must be present when applying and must have proper identification, including social security cards. And other valid identification. Requirements change from county to county so it is wise to have a certified copy of a divorce decree. If a person is younger than 20 years of age, they must have a certified copy of their Birth Certificate. A $50.00 cash payment is necessary A physical examination is no longer required. The license is however only valid for 60 days and has to be returned to the office of issuance.
