Spiritual Marriage Ceremony
Today in our world, some individuals choose a spiritual marriage outside normal legalization procedures.
Love is a spiritual gift that can only be regulated by the heart. The spiritual marriage ceremony is one which recognizes a person’s heart-felt desire to share a loving relationship. Vows of love and support which bind hearts together are shared with mutual understandings. These mutual agreements are sanctioned by the presence of Family and Friends. Same sex couples seeking marriage are not legally recognized in most states but the spiritual marriage ceremony honors and respects the couple’s decisions to share their joy and happiness as a couple.
Obtaining Marriage License Applications are accepted at Register of Deeds. Opening times may vary by county. Both Bride and Groom must be present when applying and must have proper identification, including social security cards. And other valid identification. Requirements change from county to county so it is wise to have a certified copy of a divorce decree. If a person is younger than 20 years of age, they must have a certified copy of their Birth Certificate. A $50.00 cash payment is necessary. A physical examination is no longer required. The license is however only valid for 60 days and has to be returned to the office of issuance.
Every couple must go in person to the County Clerk of Court's Office in person to receive a marriage license. Before doing that, I suggest that you access this site so that you will be well informed of what is legal in North Carolina and will have the proper documents with you at the time you apply.
